i didn’t notice it while i was watching the episode but he actually leans into marlowe’s hand before pulling away after the kiss so MAYYYBE they are legit going with legit bi shakespeare???? TNT has picked William Shakespeare drama Will (led by

Laurie Davidson, pictured above) to series, which will debut next year.

Will is a ten-episode drama that chronicles the wild story of a young Shakespeare. Newcomer Davidson stars as the poet in the period drama that opens with a young Will arriving onto the punk-rock theater scene in 16th century London. TNT is describing the project as a contemporary version of Shakespeare’s life that is played to a modern soundtrack.

Olivia DeJonge, Colm Meaney, Mattias Inwood, Jamie Campbell Bower and Ewen Bremner co-star in the drama, which hails from

Romeo + Juliet’s Craig Pearce and Elizabeth’s Shekhar Kapur, who’s also directing the pilot.

“Will has an energy and style that is unlike anything else on television today,” said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT. “Shakespeare was a 16th century rock star, and Will perfectly captures in contemporary terms what that must have felt like for the young writer and his fans. We are delighted to be working with such an extraordinary team of executive producers and cast in putting a fresh, bold spin on the story of Shakespeare.”
